[31.10.2005]HMonitor 4.2.2.2 has been released! New features include: support for Fintek F75373S/375S and NS ADT7473 sensor chips, PCI-E graphics cards support, support for Clevo D900T and Compaq Presario m2000 series notebooks, hardware monitoring for most ASUS graphics adapters, minor improvements, bugfixes, etc.

[30.10.2005]DRAGNOTT 2.2 has been released! The utility (formerly known as PRCNM) is designed to quickly change the Name String of AMD Athlon XP processors and AMD Duron processors with CPUID 680h, enable and disable the low power state, etc.
This release fixes a few bugs and adds support for Intel 810/E/E2 series and Intel i440BX/ZX chipsets.
[29.10.2005]OPN64 v0.3.6 has been released! OPN64 is much like the existing program, OPN-462. It carries on tradition of being able to decipher the OPN codes into a form that is easier to understand! However, OPN64 now sports a mostly rewritten code base and support for Athlon 64, Athlon 64 FX and Opteron processors and all existing Socket 462 processors!
This version supports the following new processors: Athlon 64 (Venice) 3000+, 3200+, 3500+, 3800+ and 4000+.

[27.10.2005]Vitaliy Jungle, the author of the well-known Central Brain Identifier, has released a new utility called Thaiphoon Burner! It is designed to read all the available SPD information. Besides, it enables you to reprogram SPD directly or in the special emulation mode. Thaiphoon Burner can load external SPD dumps and flash them into EEPROM. Thaiphoon creates a highly detailed report that can be saved in a separate file.
Please, note that the program requires one of the following chipsets: nForce4, nForce3, nForce2 or SiS96x.
Bench'emAll! 2.652 beta is available for download! This release includes support for Quake 4, as well as improved support for Battlefield 2.

[26.10.2005]Advanced Administrative Tools 5.90 has been released! Changes include: improved the checking of socks proxy servers for common ports (21, 25, 80, 110, 199, 6660-6669), a few internal fixes and improvements.

The Intel Desktop Control Center version 2.0 is supported on these Intel Desktop Boards: D955XBK, D955XCS, and D945PVS. It is not backwards compatible with any previous versions of Intel Desktop Control Center.

[13.10.2005]Notebook Hardware Control 1.9 beta 3 (formerly known as Centrino Hardware Control) has been released! Notebook Hardware Control is a nice utility for Intel Centrino Mobile Technology-based notebook owners, which helps to:
  • prolong the battery lifetime and cool down the system with CPU Voltage Control and ATI Clock Control;
  • full processor speed control with custom dynamic switching and CPU Speed Control (CPU policy);
  • monitor the battery charge level and system temperature;
  • control and monitor the Hard Drive with S.M.A.R.T management, acoustic & advanced power management and Hard Drive temperature monitoring;
  • reduce noise with Notebook FAN Control.
New features include: support for all new Pentium M CPU's (also all new low voltage Pentium M), new battery detection if NHC is running (battery check), CPU and Hard Disk temperature waring and system shutdown temperature, FAN control compatibility for some newer Notebooks, Hardware Information section, possibility to run NHC as service, minor improvements, bugfixes, etc.

Futuremark Corporation has released a software patch, build 1.1.0, for PCMark05. Scores using the build 1.1.0 version of PCMark05 will not be comparable to previous version scores. Technical Details associated with the PCMark05 Patch (Build 1.1.0):
  • HDD Test problems when /usepmtimer switch not present in boot.ini is fixed;
  • Issues on Transparent Windows test when other programs are run with "always on top" option has been fixed;
  • Visual settings for Windows is forced to "Adjusted for best appearance" (or "Let Windows choose..." which is the default setting for Windows XP) for the Transparent Windows test;
  • A potential risk of distorting results with 3rd party overclocking software has been fixed;
  • Reproducibility related issues with memory tests on some platforms has been fixed;
  • Export to Excel component issues with large amounts of data fixed;
  • Performance issues on certain tests have been tweaked, results on some platforms may improve with this;
  • Problems with external USB/Firewire hard drives have been fixed;
  • Updated System Info component with support for the latest CPU and graphics hardware;
  • Fixed all reported & reproduced bugs.

HDD Temperature Enterprise Edition 1.0 (formerly known as HDD Network Temperature) has been released!

Intel Active Monitor 1.2.2 is available for download! This is an alerting utility created by Intel and available exclusively on Intel Desktop Boards. The Intel Active Monitor works with specialized sensors on your Intel Desktop Board to constantly monitor the system's temperatures, power supply voltages, and fan speeds. If temperatures become extremely hot or a system fan or power supply fails, the user is immediately notified.
